Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Business Analyst specializing in data sensitivity and VDI migration. The role supports the InfoSec and Infrastructure teams, with a focus on secure data storage, access, and use across the enterprise.

You'll assess data classification, identify critical systems, and develop business cases for VDI migration, including risk, cost, and adoption considerations. Remote work is supported for this long-term engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience with data governance, classification, and usage assessments across multi-group environments.
• Ability to translate complex data findings into actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Familiarity with VDI concepts (Citrix, VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop) or ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business groups to inventory systems, tools, and data usage patterns tied to storage.
• Assess and classify data sensitivity across groups, systems, and workflows.
• Identify critical systems and high-risk data storage practices for migration to VDI.
• Document current and future-state data storage and usage models.
• Develop a business case for VDI migration including risk and cost considerations.
• Collaborate with Security, Technology and Business teams to validate findings and align with data policies.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements sessions across departments.
• Present findings to technology leadership and stakeholders.
• Support migration roadmap and change-management considerations.
• Analyze data and process flows across systems, servers, networks, and endpoints.
