Job summary

Grand View University in Des Moines, IA seeks an Assistant Vice President for Enrollment and Director of Financial Aid to provide strategic leadership and administer the university's financial aid programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in financial aid administration.
• Proven ability to build cross‑division relationships and collaborate effectively.
• Ability to think strategically about college affordability and net tuition impact.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, management, and development for the Financial Aid Office staff.
• Oversee Colleague SIS Financial Aid module and Core systems team participation.
• Partner with senior leaders to set goals impacting enrollment, retention, and net revenue.
• Develop and administer institutional aid models and policies aligned with budgets.
• Manage the Financial Aid departmental budget.
• Supervise financial aid operations in a customer‑focused environment.
• Administer and maintain compliance with federal, state, and institutional aid programs.
• Oversee preparation and submission of required financial aid reports.
• Manage Tuition Exchange, ELCA, and Council of Independent Colleges programs.
• Review DOE notices; implement policy changes accordingly.
• Counsel students/parents with Admissions, GV Complete, and Viking Central about aid eligibility.
