Job summary

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Senior Manager of Quality Assurance to lead the repair station’s quality system under 14 CFR Part 145. The role ensures airworthiness of serviced articles and maintains compliance with QMS, RSM, QCM, and customer requirements.

The position reports to the Senior VP of Quality, Safety, & Training and oversees QA activities, audits, and CAPA programs, with significant interaction with FAA personnel and customers.

Qualifications

• FAA Mechanic certificate with A&P or Repairman authorization.
• 7+ years in aviation maintenance, including 3+ years as inspector at Part 145/121/135.
• 2+ years supervising inspection or quality personnel.
• Ability to read/apply Part 43, Part 145, ADs, CMMs in English.
• Hands-on experience writing manual procedures and leading FAA or customer audits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain independent oversight of the Quality System and QMS improvements.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with aviation regulations and airworthiness of serviced articles.
• Own the Quality Control Manual; coordinate RSM revisions with management.
• Manage CAPA, root-cause analysis, and verification of effectiveness.
• Lead internal audit program covering RSM/QCM, AS9100/9110 requirements.
• Coordinate audits with FAA, customers, and foreign authorities.
