Job summary

Advantage Dealer Group in Chicago seeks an experienced accounting leader to oversee monthly closings, reconciliations, and financial reporting for multiple dealerships. You will work closely with the General Managers and executive team to provide accurate analyses and ensure adherence to policy.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, at least 10 years of relevant experience including dealership exposure and prior oversight of accounting teams.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.
• At least 3 years in accounting at a dealership and prior oversight experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly reconciliations including cash, receivables, payables, and payroll.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and reporting deadlines.
• Review dealership financial statements for consistency with policies.
• Monitor actual vs. forecast results and correct variances promptly.
• Collaborate with General Managers and executives to meet accounting needs.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, including planning and performance reviews.
• Support hiring and training for the accounting group.
