Job summary

An automotive dealership in Chicago is seeking a Controller to oversee financial operations, manage accounting personnel, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have CDK experience and a strong understanding of dealership financial statements. This position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $140,000 along with various employee benefits including paid vacation and discounts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CDK experience is required.
• Working knowledge of dealership financial statements.
• Ability to explain technical financial information in an understandable manner.
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the Financial accounting system and personnel.
• Attracts, develops, and retains talent for the office.
• Prepares complete financial statements and submits them timely.
• Interprets and analyzes financial statements.
• Keeps the General Manager informed on trends and cash needs.
• Develops and maintains an effective cash management system.
• Closes the books accurately each month.
• Prepares and submits required statements and reports.
• Manages and safeguards the store's assets and ensures internal controls.
• Assists department managers with financial reports and action plans.
• Responds to requests for information and assistance promptly.
• Works with General Manager to improve revenue or reduce expenses.
