Job summary

American Freedom Insurance Company seeks a Product Manager for Personal Auto Insurance Pricing. You will own state performance, drive pricing strategy, and work with senior leadership on market expansion initiatives.

You will lead rate and rule filings, analyze loss ratios, and collaborate across departments to optimize profitability and product features while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Insurance, Economics or related field required; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of Product Management, pricing, actuarial analysis or related experience, preferably in auto insurance.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL or other analytical tools.
• Working knowledge of insurance rate filings and rules.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SERFF a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the profitability and performance of assigned personal auto states through pricing, product, and regulatory strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve loss ratio, retention, and growth through rate and product adjustments.
• Lead the development and implementation of rate and rule filings via SERFF.
• Align product goals with company objectives and regulatory requirements and profitability targets.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Underwriting, Claims, IT, Legal, vendors, etc. to design, price, and implement product features.
• Maintain effective relationships with state insurance departments and manage regulatory communications and inquiries.
• Monitor and evaluate product performance metrics and adjust as needed to improve results.
• Conduct competitor, market, and industry analysis to identify pricing opportunities, product enhancements, and new coverage opportunities.
• Develop knowledge of state requirements and respond to regulatory inquiries.
• Initiate and lead projects that enhance product development, operations, and performance.
• Explore opportunities to include small commercial auto, telematics, new jurisdictions, rideshare, and trends.
