Job summary

Moderna is seeking an Associate Director, Compensation to design, implement, and administer compensation programs supporting our talent strategy. You will partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to ensure competitive, equitable pay with scalable programs.

You will lead benchmarking, pay equity cycles, and advisory discussions, leveraging AI and analytics to improve efficiency and decision-making while ensuring governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of compensation planning and policy execution.
• Experience advising HR and business stakeholders on compensation decisions.
• Familiarity with job architecture frameworks and compensation documentation.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and compensation analytics tools.
• Ability to leverage technology and analytics to drive efficiency in compensation processes.
• Ability to manage multiple planning cycles and data reviews.
• Attention to detail with trend interpretation and practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee market benchmarking to maintain competitive compensation positioning.
• Lead Global Pay Equity processes including design, compliance, analysis and adjustments.
• Provide strategic advice on job leveling framework for consistency across the organization.
• Oversee global compensation planning cycles including salary increases, bonuses, and equity programs.
• Develop and refine enterprise-wide compensation programs and communications for transparency.
• Use AI-enabled tools and analytics to improve compensation analyses and reporting.
• Serve as strategic partner in promotions and pay increase consultations.
• Conduct retention analysis and propose data-driven actions.
• Prepare compensation committee materials for executive decision-making.
• Provide training and support to Talent Acquisition on compensation philosophies and offers.
