Job summary

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking an Associate Director, Study Start Up Strategy to provide advanced expertise in global CTSU processes, combining operational leadership with cross-functional collaboration to ensure compliant, efficient study start-up.

This role leverages analytics and data-driven insights—historical and predictive—to inform country and site activation plans, optimize protocol implementation for start-up efficiency, and mitigate operational risks.

Qualifications

• Subject matter expert in clinical site start-up with regulatory understanding.
• Experience leading global start-up strategies and CRO/vendor oversight.
• Experience using digital tools to inform study planning and activation.
• Ability to travel 10%–20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead or oversee development and execution of study-level start-up strategies and country/site activation plans.
• Develop site activation projections and input into study timelines using data-driven assessments.
• Serve as SME in global start-up pathways; provide strategic guidance to internal teams and partners.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align start-up strategies with protocol requirements.
• Monitor SSU performance metrics and communicate risks.
• Leverage historical and predictive data and emerging technologies to optimize start-up processes.
• Oversee SSU team members with guidance and performance feedback.
• Oversee CROs/vendors and governance activities.
• Contribute to SSU policy development and training curricula.
