Job summary

San Jose State University seeks an Associate Dean for Undergraduate & Graduate Programs in the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business (LCoB) to lead undergraduate and graduate programs and to act in the Dean's absence as needed. The role partners with college leadership and campus units to advance strategy, curriculum, accreditation, and student success.

The Associate Dean will supervise program directors, coordinate with PaCE and CPGE, oversee admissions, enrollment, and assessment

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree or terminal degree in a business/academic field per AACSB standards.
• Experience in administrative leadership within business education.
• Record of scholarship and teaching appropriate for tenured, full professor in AACSB-accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage undergraduate enrollment, retention, and program operations.
• Oversee BSBA and online programs, supervise program directors, collaborate with campus units.
• Coordinate with Curriculum Committees to keep course content relevant and up-to-date.
• Lead enrollment management and marketing communications for undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Design initiatives and partnerships to enhance education quality for graduate students and college reputation.
• Support AoL efforts and align assessment with curriculum decisions.
• Oversee relationships with PaCE and CPGE concerning fee income and program delivery.
• Manage revenues and costs for program development to ensure viability.
• Oversee recruitment, admissions, advising, scheduling, and graduation across programs.
• Lead executive/professional education programs with partner institutions.
• Develop and implement policies to support curricular and student service functions.
• Direct training and development for graduate program directors and EMBA Consortium Director.
