Job summary

Mercer University School of Medicine is seeking an Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Director of Admissions to lead student services and admissions across the Columbus campus. The role couples strategic oversight with hands-on management of programs impacting education, career counseling, and residency planning.

The ideal candidate will have a terminal health sciences degree (MD preferred) and 3+ years in medical school administration, with strong collaboration, communication, and mentoring

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in health sciences; MD preferred.
• Three years of experience in medical school administration or educational leadership.
• Knowledge of medical school admissions processes (MCAT, AMCAS, ERAS, NRMP, USMLE).
• Ability to supervise faculty and programs across multiple MUSM campus locations.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other units within the medical school and university-wide.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to mentor faculty and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of student services and admissions programs.
• Allocate resources and staff to programs to ensure quality and accreditation.
• Uphold MUSM mission and act as advocate/spokesperson for the school.
• Support recruitment, residency planning and student success initiatives.
