Vaco by Highspring, Atlanta-based, is seeking an Assistant Corporate Controller to lead the accounting organization, ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. The role reports to the Corporate Controller and oversees GL operations, consolidated reporting, and fixed assets, with an emphasis on accelerated close and audit coordination.

The ideal candidate has 9–11+ years in accounting (Big 4 + corporate), CPA, and a proven track record in complex multi-entity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• 9-11+ years of progressive accounting experience including public accounting (Big 4) and corporate leadership.
• Experience leading monthly close, financial reporting, and audit processes in a multi-entity environment.
• Strong technical accounting foundation including consolidations and new standards implementation.
• Hands-on experience with SOX compliance.
• Proven ability to manage and develop teams while driving accountability and continuous improvement.
• Experience in mid-to-large scale organizations ($500M-$3B+ revenue).

Responsibilities

• Drive integrity, speed, and scalability of financial reporting across the enterprise.
• Oversee general ledger operations, consolidated financial reporting, and fixed asset accounting.
• Lead accelerated close process, audit coordination, and build out SOX compliance structure.
• Provide leadership exposure to executive leadership and strategic initiatives.
• Support acquisition integration efforts and process transformation with the finance team.
