Job summary

Brevard Cultural Alliance seeks an Executive Director to lead the county’s umbrella arts and cultural agency, providing strategic direction, financial stewardship, fundraising, and community advocacy.

Working with the Board, staff, and partners, the ED drives program growth, ensures compliance, oversees budgets and operations, and represents BCA at public meetings and events across Brevard County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent leadership experience required.
• Minimum five years of leadership experience in nonprofit, arts, or community organizations.
• Experience with boards, committees, and public agencies.
• Strong public speaking and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and vision aligned with the mission and priorities.
• Oversee fiscal operations, budgeting, reporting, and audits.
• Lead fundraising, sponsorships, and donor cultivation.
• Build partnerships with artists, cultural organizations, and community stakeholders.
• Supervise staff and contractors and ensure effective operations.
• Ensure compliance with bylaws, policies, and applicable laws.
• Represent BCA in public meetings and community events.
