Job summary

Capgemini in Chicago is seeking a Manager (Applications Consultant) to design, develop, customize, and integrate software applications under supervision. You will define system strategy, analyze performance, and translate business needs into technical designs for client-specific solutions.

The role requires a Master’s (or foreign equiv) in a relevant field with 2 years of IT experience, or a Bachelor’s with 5 years. Telecommuting may be permitted; travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s or foreign equivalent in CS/Engineering/Business/Math/IT with two years of IT experience.
• Alternate: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent in same fields with five years of IT experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, customize, and integrate software applications under supervision.
• Define system strategy and requirements; analyze performance and propose improvements.
• Translate business cases into technical designs; manage deadlines and deliverables.
• Identify issues; engage customers to resolve escalations; forecast work and plan support.
• Review team deliverables to improve quality and productivity; monitor changes.
• Create data models, workflows, and integration approaches; prepare monthly client reports.
