Capgemini in Chicago is seeking a Senior Consultant (Applications Consultant) to design, develop, customize, and integrate software applications. You will coordinate junior team members, gather client requirements, analyze performance, and translate blueprints into specs.

Travel up to 5% may be required. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 years IT experience, with proficiency in Java or PL/SQL/Unix-based stacks.

Coordinate efforts of lower-level team members while guiding them in the process. Gather and analyze client requirements and design and develop computer systems. Analyze existing applications to identify required performance and response time improvements. Identify operational and technical issues and translate technical blueprints into requirements and specifications. Develop systems requirements and implement systems strategy. Perform impact analysis of any code or design changes. Create data models, workflow designs, and integration approaches. Install necessary software and customize software to clients’ unique requirements. Responsible for software-specific design and realization, as well as testing, deployment and release management, or technical and functional application management of client-specific package-based solutions. Design, prototype, and test support procedures and implement practical business solutions under multiple deadlines. Resolve issues to ensure delivery of project. Coordinate with application support team to eliminate recurring incidents and to minimize the impact of incidents.Job SpecificationMust have a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equiv) in Computer Science, Business, Engineering (any), Math, Information Technology, or related field, plus two (2) years of IT experience. Must have one (1) year of IT work experience using one of the following skill sets:Java, Jira, and Jenkins;PL/SQL Developer, Snowflake, and Unix Shell Scripting;Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle; ORUnix, PL/SQL, and Linux.In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent), we will accept three (3) years of post-secondary study in any field, plus three (3) years of IT experience. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Travel and relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. required based on business needs. International travel not required. Travel not to exceed 5% / year for meetings and to complete assigned projects of varying lengths. Telecommuting may be permitted as needed.The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $117,083.00 - $178,290.00.Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting.
