Job summary

South Dakota State Government is seeking a full-time Application/Business Project Manager to lead complex projects within the BIT. The role collaborates with product owners, stakeholders, and a scrum team to define scope, document requirements, and ensure on-time delivery while balancing budget and quality.

The ideal candidate brings 5–7 years of PM experience, familiarity with SDLC, and proficiency in Microsoft tools (Visio, Power BI). Certifications like PMP or Scrum Master are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience gathering business requirements and leading meetings with employees at all levels.
• Proficient with Microsoft tools such as Visio and Power BI; ServiceNow products experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PMI standards, and SDLC with Agile and Waterfall methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from initiation through completion within scope, budget, and timelines.
• Identify scope, risks, assumptions, and constraints with sponsors and product owners.
• Facilitate meetings, communicate requirements, and mentor team members.
• Maintain processes for monitoring scope, progress, costs, and outcomes.
