Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Strategy & Operations Analyst II to partner with the Cloud Technology Group, turning data into actionable insights. You will model data, build dashboards, and collaborate with Networks, Finance, and regional planning teams to enable data-driven decisions.

The role emphasizes self-serve reporting, scalable analytics, and clear stakeholder communication. You will work across data sources, develop pipelines, and contribute to dashboards using Tableau while leveraging AI tools to

Qualifications

5 years of relevant experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or data analytics.
Solid working knowledge of SQL with experience querying and analyzing large datasets.
Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets for basic analysis and QA tasks and experience with data and system integrations.
Experience creating dashboards in data visualization tools like Tableau.
Experience using AI developer tools like Copilot or Claude in day-to-day operations.
Strong communication skills to translate requirements and share findings with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with Network Infrastructure and Colocation teams to gather requirements and understand key business metrics.
Automating reporting and enabling self-serve functionalities to provide visibility into key metrics.
Assisting in building and maintaining data pipelines and models to support analytics use cases.
Writing queries and combining data from various sources.
Communicating insights to stakeholders through visualizations and reports.
