Job summary

Boston University seeks a Director of Alumni Engagement, Advancement to lead BU Law's global alumni strategy and programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7–10 years in alumni relations or related field.
• At least 5 years supervisory experience.
• Strategic alumni engagement initiatives aligned with institutional goals.
• Strong relationship-building with diverse alumni, volunteers, faculty, and leadership.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally; may require evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead BU Law's alumni engagement strategy and programs.
• Oversee BU Law Executive Committee and Young Alumni Committee.
• Build a dynamic, mission-driven alumni volunteer network.
• Collaborate across BU Law, Advancement, and the broader legal community.
• Plan a robust calendar of alumni events locally, nationally, and globally.
• Partner with fundraising and communications teams to drive philanthropic support.
• Set annual goals, measure outcomes, and supervise staff.
