Job summary

The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority is seeking an Executive Director to lead BUR and guide the Commission in achieving its vision and operational goals. The role entails directing a high-performance organization focused on premier service, safety and financial sustainability.

Reporting to the Commission and committees, the Executive Director will oversee staff, procurement, and compliance while advancing air service, infrastructure development, and regional economic impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or closely related field.
• Ten (10) plus years of experience in a demonstrated executive capacity in airport/port/transport hub or public agency.
• Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the airport post-new terminal opening to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Guide strategic vision, mission, and financial sustainability of BUR and the Commission.
• Oversee contracts procurement and compliance with public contract code and regulatory guidelines.
