The City of Mesa seeks an Airport Director to lead Falcon Field Airport, overseeing operations, maintenance, and development, and to manage the division’s budget and twenty-year financial plan. The Director serves as liaison with FAA and state regulators and represents the airport before tenants, aviation users, public groups, and regional partners.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in airport management, business administration, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible managerial, supervisory, and administrative experience.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, direct, and lead the operations and maintenance activities of the Airport Division and the Falcon Field Management Team.
• Develop short- and long-range goals and objectives and implement the division strategic plan and Airport Master Plan.
• Prepare and administer the division budget and twenty-year financial plan.
• Negotiate and administer leases with fixed-base operators, industrial tenants, and other airport businesses.
• Promote economic development and business expansion at the airport and in the surrounding sub-area.
• Coordinate with the FAA air traffic control tower on matters affecting airport operations, and ensure compliance with FAA and other regulations.
• Represent the City with the FAA, county and regional partners, and speak before public groups on airport plans, programs, and goals.
• Coordinate with other City departments and build effective working relationships with tenants, pilots, aircraft owners, developers, and the community.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate staff.

Educación

Bachelor’s degree in airport management, business administration, or related field

Master’s degree in airport management, business administration, or public administration
