Job summary

OU Health is seeking an AI Specialist to lead governance and strategic AI initiatives within the IT Information Security department. The role focuses on creating and enforcing governance practices, driving AI literacy, and partnering with stakeholders to realize business value from AI across OU Health.

You will oversee AI architectures, portfolio management, and platform selection while collaborating with security, legal, and ethics teams to ensure compliant and responsible AI deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• 5+ years IT experience including AI.
• Certifications in AI preferred: CAIE or AIFC.
• Experience leading governance and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Attend AI governance bodies and participate in decision making.
• Evolve AI governance, data usage, explainability, fairness and privacy policies.
• Collaborate with security, risk, legal, ethics and other stakeholders.
• Manage AI portfolio across initiatives.
• Measure ROI and business value of AI initiatives.
• Advance AI literacy and lead change management.
• Define operating model and delivery capabilities for AI projects.
• Lead AI architectures and select platforms/technologies.
• Foster partnerships with vendors, research institutes, and industry groups.
• Align AI strategy with enterprise vision and goals.
