Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. seeks a Principal AI Domain Technical Leader to serve as the senior technical authority for the North America AI Delivery verticals.

You will own architecture, feasibility, and risk across strategic transformations, interfacing with client CTOs and engineering leaders, while guiding the vertical's reference architectures and accelerators. You will mentor architects and engineers, shape pursuits, and ensure technical excellence without direct pod management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 12+ years in enterprise technology delivery with 5+ years leading architecture or engineering on AI transformations.
• 5+ years across cloud, data, and AI architecture with hands-on GenAI/agentic architectures, MLOps/LLMOps, security and responsible AI.
• 5+ years mentoring senior technical staff in a matrixed, globally distributed delivery organization.
• Deep knowledge of the vertical's data landscape, regulatory and security requirements, and key technology partners.
• Ability to own the technical solution on major pursuits and provide architecture assurance across engagements.
• Track record of reusable patterns and credibility with client CTOs and engineering leaders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to say no to an unsound commitment.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical solution on the vertical's strategic pursuits: feasibility, architecture, delivery model, staffing, dependencies and risks.
• Lead technically on two to three strategic transformations as a billable member of engagements.
• Provide technical assurance at checkpoints: baseline, first production release, scope changes and difficulty cases.
• Lead technical remediation with NA Technical Lead and COE specialists as needed.
• Own vertical reference architectures, reusable patterns and accelerators; deposit in the Workflow Vault.
• Represent the AI Studio operating fabric and its standards to client technology leaders.
• Build and maintain the technical relationship with client CTOs and engineering leaders.
• Serve as escalation point for technical feasibility and architecture; surface capability gaps.
• Mentor the vertical's architects, engineers and data scientists.
• Carry industry-specific requirements into Global AI Studio standards decisions.
