Job summary

Vanguard in Malvern is seeking a skilled AI leader to translate business needs into agentic AI solutions. You will partner with stakeholders to identify high‑value problems and frame clear use cases, success metrics, and delivery plans.

You will design and build agentic systems capable of reasoning, planning, and acting across tools and data sources, while ensuring reliability, governance, and enterprise readiness.

Qualifications

• Agentic AI design with reasoning, planning, and action across systems.
• Enterprise LLM applications including RAG, tool use, orchestration, and evaluation.
• Experience with NLP on unstructured text and language-driven workflows.
• Advanced degree in CS/ML/Data Science or related field.
• 3+ years delivering AI/ML in production environments.
• 5+ years of hands-on Python experience; distributed data processing is a plus.
• Strong ability to translate business problems into AI solutions.
• Excellent communication to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to identify business problems and prioritize AI opportunities.
• Translate needs into clear AI use cases, success metrics, and delivery plans.
• Design and build agentic AI systems that can reason, plan, and act across tools and data sources.
• Develop multi-agent and tool-augmented LLM solutions for complex processes.
• Ensure solutions are reliable, explainable, and governed for enterprise use.
• Collaborate with engineering for scalable deployment with security and performance.
• Implement evaluation, monitoring, and guardrails for bias, drift, and failure modes.
• Mentor peers on applied AI and business-driven problem solving.
