Job summary

RTX is seeking an Aerospace Hardware & Fastener Commodity Principal Specialist to drive strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization for critical hardware. You will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management to influence design choices and lifecycle costs while ensuring compliance with AS9100, FAA/EASA, and customer requirements.

Qualifications

Requires university degree or advanced degree with years of experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing.
Experience with negotiation and contract management is essential.
Strong analytical, communication, and cross‑functional leadership abilities are preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute global/regional commodity strategies for aerospace hardware and fasteners.
Lead should-cost modeling, VA/VE initiatives, and cost reduction roadmaps.
Select, qualify, and manage strategic suppliers to meet quality, delivery and cost targets.
Lead contract negotiations and pricing strategies, monitor supplier performance, and drive improvements.
Influence design-for-cost and hardware selection with Engineering and Program Management.
