Job summary

RTX is seeking an Aerospace Hardware & Fastener Commodity Principal Specialist to lead global sourcing for bolts, nuts, screws and related fasteners. You will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality to drive design-for-cost and supplier performance while ensuring AS9100/FAA/EASA compliance.

Responsibilities include developing commodity strategies, leading negotiations, managing LTAs, and tracking cost savings. This U.S.-based remote role offers strong rewards and career growth at RTX.

Qualifications

Typically requires a university degree or advanced degree with years of experience in strategic sourcing.
Minimum 3 years in strategic sourcing or commodity management in aerospace.
Experience with negotiation and contract management.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute commodity strategies for aerospace hardware and fasteners.
Lead should-cost modeling and cost-reduction roadmaps.
Manage supplier qualification, selection, and performance.
Lead contract negotiations and LTAs.
Collaborate with engineering to influence design-for-cost.
Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions.
