Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. seeks a Director of Advancement Relations to serve as a primary philanthropy partner across MCW and Froedtert Hospital priorities.

You will bridge philanthropy visions with donor relationships, designing and implementing improvements to grateful patient referrals and coordinating strategic fundraising plans. You will work with OIA, campaign, and engagement teams to ensure effective stewardship, transparency, and alignment with institutional priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, with advancement experience preferred.
• 7+ years in the Advancement field, healthcare or higher education preferred.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Experience managing relationships with institutional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact between institutional priorities and the Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA).
• Develop knowledge of priority areas and communicate strategy to OIA and Communications partners.
• Partner with priority leaders, volunteers, and teams to align benefactor opportunities.
• Elicit grateful patient referrals and report outcomes to leadership.
• Guide proposal processes and ensure donor intent is reflected in funding opportunities.
• Collaborate with philanthropy finance to report productivity and designate gifts correctly.
