Job summary

Harvey Mudd College seeks an Assistant Director of Admission to help manage the admissions process from prospective student outreach to enrollment. The role focuses on coordinating the Admitted Student Program (ASP) and the WISTEM Open House, while collaborating with campus partners and the Communications Team.

Under supervision, you will recruit and enroll students who align with the college’s liberal arts STEM mission, mentoring teams and maintaining confidential records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; valid driver’s license.
• 3+ years of professional experience in college admissions.
• Willingness to travel up to two weeks at a time and to work weekends and evenings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the execution of the Office of Admission events, collaborating with campus partners, external vendors, and colleagues within the office.
• Provide strategic leadership for planning, coordinating, and executing the Admitted Student Program (ASP) and the WISTEM Open House.
• Create and execute a cohesive communication flow for Office of Admission events, including website updates in consultation with the Communications Team Lead.
• Recruit and enroll students who fulfill the College’s mission.
• Support diversity goals within the applicant pool and enrolling class; contribute to strategies and programming to meet this objective.
