Job summary

Wheaton College is seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Admission to recruit and counsel prospective students and applicants. You will represent the College at high schools, college fairs, interviews, and on- and off-campus programs with a recruitment team of seven.

The role requires evening/weekend availability, travel about 8–10 weeks annually, and collaboration across programs such as Student Ambassadors and Diversity initiatives to meet enrollment goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Strong public speaking, interpersonal, organizational and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, advise and counsel prospective students and applicants to the College.
• Interview, conduct information sessions, and travel to represent the College at events.
• Review, manage and evaluate applications from assigned territories and follow up with applicants and counselors.
• Participate in on-campus recruitment activities and collaborate with multiple programs.
• Coordinate with a recruitment staff of seven and support diversity initiatives.
