The University of Miami, Department of Dermatology, seeks a Sr. Administrative Officer in Miami, FL. This full-time role reports to the Chair and serves as the senior administrative leader, guiding strategic planning, financial stewardship, and operational excellence across the department.

Responsibilities include developing business plans, budgeting, interfacing with affiliate sites, and ensuring HR compliance, contract management, and program growth to support faculty and staff success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.

Responsabilités

• Develops and directs short- and long-term strategic business plans for the Department and serves as senior financial/administrative manager.
• Acts as primary administrative liaison for department programs across affiliate sites and interdepartmental entities.
• Manages financial planning, budgeting, accounting, and resource allocation across multiple accounts.
• Oversees clinical operations administration, including billing practices and contracts.
• Manages research facilities, space, equipment, and support resources to enable growth.
• Oversees HR practices to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with HR on personnel actions, hiring, promotions, and performance management.
• Ensures internal controls and risk management, safeguarding assets and reporting.
