Job summary

CACI International is seeking an Acquisition and Contracting Specialist to shape procurement strategies, advise stakeholders, and ensure compliant, on-time acquisition programs. This role supports government initiatives while remaining non-governmental in function and can be remote or hybrid.

You will draft SOWs, PWSs, SOOs, J&A documents, and IGEs; prepare market research, and oversee complete procurement packages aligned with FAR/DFAR and internal policies.

Qualifications

• More than five (5+) years of federal acquisition lifecycle management experience.
• Experience using FAR- and DFAR-based acquisition approaches under time-sensitive requirements.
• Ability to clearly communicate acquisition lifecycle phases to stakeholders to prevent delays.
• Ability to effectively manage procurements throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and refine Statements of Work (SOWs), Performance Work Statements (PWSs), Statements of Objectives (SOOs), and other procurement artifacts for agency approval.
• Prepare acquisition strategies, market research reports, Justification & Approval (J&A) documents, and Independent Government Estimates (IGEs).
• Support the creation of complete, compliant solicitation packages aligned with FAR, DFAR, and internal acquisition policies.
• Partner closely with program managers, engineers, contracting officers, and vendors to clarify technical needs and acquisition milestones.
• Track and oversee acquisition timelines, deliverables, and overall project performance.
• Maintain precise records of contract modifications and award documentation provided by Procurement.
• Draft clear, high-quality technical documents, including design narratives, requirements documents, project charters, risk assessments, and change-management documentation.
• Update, standardize, and streamline construction project materials, templates, and reference documents.
• Ensure every document meets agency standards for consistency, technical accuracy, formatting, and compliance.
