Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 30 credit hours in accounting with auditing.
• Eight years of accounting experience and two years of supervisory experience.
• Notes: CPA exam admission before 1974 may satisfy education; CPA/master’s can substitute for one year of general accounting experience; one year of auditing can substitute for one year of general accounting; military service can substitute on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct three units: Inventory Management, Credit Card/Employee Expense Statement, and Vouchers Payable.
• Audit procurements paid with Corporate Purchasing Card and ensure internal controls.
• Prepare, analyze, and report on SHA’s Small Business Reserve Program transactions for senior leadership.
• Authorize journal entries in MDOT FMIS and liaise with SHA Finance and General Accounting in Annapolis.
