Job summary

Calbee America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager of Accounting to partner with operations and leadership on strategic financial decisions in a fast-growing U.S. snack business.

The role oversees month-end close, reporting, tax, and internal controls while driving process improvements for scalability. The ideal candidate has a CPA, 8+ years of progressive accounting experience (3+ in leadership) and strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, with manufacturing/CPG or food production exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Active CPA license required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls (SOX a plus), and tax reporting/filing.
• Experience in manufacturing, CPG, or food production highly preferred.
• Exposure to cost/project/payroll accounting and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes to deliver timely financial results.
• Provide technical oversight on complex accounting issues and new pronouncements.
• Oversee manufacturing and cost accounting, project accounting, and payroll accounting.
• Manage and develop the accounting team to foster accountability and learning.
• Partner with Corporate Planning, Tax, Operations, and Supply Chain on reporting.
• Ensure accurate tax filings and compliance reporting at federal, state, and local levels.
• Champion automation and process improvements to scale controls and efficiency.
• Stay current on industry trends and advise senior leadership.
