CPS, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead daily accounting operations in a manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes GAAP compliance, internal controls, and accurate financial reporting across general ledger, inventory, and cost accounting functions.

You will manage month-end and year-end closes, supervise staff, and partner with operations to optimize production costs and variances. Strong leadership and process-improvement focus are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control requirements.
• Experience with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with inventory and cost accounting in a manufacturing setting.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll accounting, and fixed assets.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and schedules.
• Maintain GAAP compliance and strong internal controls across accounting procedures.
• Oversee inventory accounting for raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and obsolescence.
• Lead cost accounting activities including standard costing and variances.
• Analyze material usage, labor efficiency, and production variances to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with operations to review manufacturing costs and production performance.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and address findings.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis with finance leadership.
• Drive process improvements to enhance accounting accuracy and reporting.
