Job summary

Withum's Business Enterprise Advisors (BEA) team is seeking a Manager to join our Lincolnshire, IL office on a hybrid basis (3 days in the office). This role leads client engagements, oversees financial statements, and identifies process improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA license, has at least 5 years of experience in a local or mid-sized CPA firm, and demonstrates strong leadership, client service, and communication skills to drive value for clients and the Firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business-related field.
• CPA license required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a local or mid-sized CPA firm or tax consulting.
• Experience handling high volumes of financial statements with tight deadlines.
• Strong accounting technical background and knowledge of key laws.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements and assess risks to improve costs and revenue.
• Identify bottlenecks and streamline processes for productivity.
• Develop and implement change management plans during organizational changes.
• Supervise and train engagement staff; communicate with partners and managers.
• Mentor staff and manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment.
• Review compilation and review level financial statements.
• Collaborate with tax, assurance and advisory groups to serve clients.
• Stay current on technical standards and industry developments.
• Participate in client proposals and business development.
