Job summary

Withum’s BEA team seeks a Manager to join our New York, NY office (hybrid—3 days in the office). The BEA group provides tax, assurance and advisory services to private companies seeking one point of contact for their business needs.

As a Manager, you will analyze financial statements, identify cost reductions, supervise staff, and collaborate across tax, assurance and advisory groups to deliver client-focused solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business field.
• CPA license required.
• Minimum 5 years in a local or mid-sized CPA firm or tax practice; food & beverage industry experience is a plus.
• Experience handling high volume financial statements with tight deadlines.
• Strong accounting technical background and up-to-date on tax law changes.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and technical skills.
• Strong client service and communication with ability to develop client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced team environment.
• Leadership, training, mentoring, and strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements and identify cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization opportunities.
• Identify bottlenecks, streamline processes, and suggest improvements to reduce costs.
• Develop and implement change management plans during organizational changes.
• Provide supervision, training and support to engagement staff and promote communication with management.
• Inspire, develop, mentor, and retain staff with challenging assignments.
• Review and supervise the preparation of compilation and review level financial statements.
• Collaborate across tax, assurance and advisory groups to fully service clients.
• Stay current on technical developments and industry standards and assess impact on clients.
• Participate in client proposals and identify new business opportunities.
