Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an experienced supply chain accounting professional in Portland, OR. You will own end-to-end accounting tasks, drive accuracy, and partner with finance, tax, and IT to optimize the supply chain.

You will lead accounting projects, build financial models, and deliver reliable insights that improve cost efficiency and continuity of supply. Strong data skills and Big Four/Fortune 500 experience are valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
5+ years in multiple finance and accounting roles.
CPA preferred.
Experience in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients.
5+ years identifying data issues and root causes.
5+ years building financial models and recommendations.
Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools.
4+ years of transactional accounting experience.

Responsibilities

Support various aspects of our accounting and reporting process.
End-to-end process ownership to support finance and business partners.
Lead delivery of accounting tasks and projects.
Execute judgments to close the books each month.
Understand internal control design concepts and design new processes and controls.
Escalating risks and issues as necessary to leadership.
Strong sense of ownership.
Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
Enhance partnerships between accounting, business, finance, tax, trade compliance and IT.
Research, conclude and memorialize technical accounting position papers.
