Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Nashville is seeking an experienced Accounting professional to own end-to-end financial processes for AWS Supply Chain accounting. You will lead accounting tasks, partner with finance and business teams, and ensure timely, accurate closes.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting, 5+ years in finance, and preferably a CPA. You will analyze data, improve processes, and help drive cost efficiency across the supply chain.

• Understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls in their area and to design new processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities

• Strong sense of ownership
• Ability to identify process improvement and automation opportunities to drive positive change across the organization
• Enhance partnerships between accounting and business, finance, tax, trade compliance and IT groups
• Research, conclude and memorialize technical accounting position papers

This Position Will Have Responsibility For

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA
• Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients
• 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• 4+ years of transactional accounting field experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
