Job summary

Webb Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, month-end close, job costing, payroll support, and internal controls. You will partner with operational leaders to improve financial visibility and drive performance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• 2+ years of accounting leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills with PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities.
• Experience with commission calculations, labor reporting, and operational accounting preferred.
• Experience with ServiceTitan, Sage Intacct, or comparable ERP/accounting systems.
• Familiarity with multi-location operations and service-based businesses.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Lead month-end close and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Review general ledger activity, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Analyze financial performance and provide variance analysis vs budgets and forecasts.
• Develop and maintain financial dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting.
• Provide financial modeling, forecasting, and decision-support analysis.
• Oversee job costing across labor, materials, and subcontractors.
• Monitor cash flow forecasting and financial planning initiatives.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities impacting business performance.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Oversee commission calculations and incentive programs.
• Review labor reporting and timesheet data for accuracy.
• Monitor accounts receivable performance and support collections.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support audits and maintain audit-ready documentation.
