Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp, based in Houston, seeks an Accounting & Tax Lead to oversee US GAAP accounting, sales/use tax, and property tax compliance within the Corporate Finance team. The role reports to the Director of Corporate Finance in a hybrid Houston office.

You will manage the general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, coordinating with Project Controls, EPC teams, and external advisors. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, tax or related field.
• Minimum 6 years combined accounting/tax experience with GL accounting and indirect tax.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and indirect tax concepts.
• ERP systems proficiency (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sales and use tax, business personal property tax, and other indirect tax returns.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and post journal entries.
• Coordinate with Accounting, Tax, FP&A, and external advisors on tax and accounting matters.
• Support internal/external audits and maintain ICs over financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities to streamline tax and accounting processes and templates.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
