The Position: The Strategic Account Manager – Leasing Programs is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding relationships with national and regional leasing and fleet management companies. This role plays a critical part in supporting the company’s go-to-market strategy for leased and rental vehicles, managing program agreements, and ensuring seamless coordination between leasing partners, upfit operations, and OEM stakeholders. The position requires a consultative sales approach, strong understanding of fleet leasing dynamics, and the ability to manage complex order-to-delivery cycles involving chassis, upfit, and logistics coordination.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Account Development & Retention
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned leasing accounts
    • Establish account strategies to support growth targets, penetration, and customer satisfaction
    • Monitor customer KPIs, renewal cycles, and competitive positioning
  • Leasing Program Management
    • Coordinate program pricing, incentive structures, and chassis/allocation strategies
    • Manage contract terms, volume commitments, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs)
    • Align internal stakeholders around customer delivery timelines, special production orders (SPO), and compliance requirements
  • Sales Execution
    • Drive order intake by aligning leasing partner opportunities with available capacity and lead times
    • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of quotes, specs, and technical documentation
    • Support joint sales efforts between leasing partners and end-user customers when applicable
  • Forecasting & Reporting
    • Maintain opportunity pipeline, forecasting accuracy, and production outlooks in CRM (Salesforce)
    • Provide regular updates on leasing account performance, wins/losses, and risks
  • Strategic Collaboration
    • Work closely with OEMs and leasing providers on co-branded or cooperative sales initiatives
    • Contribute to product development insights and upfit specifications based on leasing use cases
  • Identify emerging trends in EV leasing, last-mile delivery, and total cost of ownership (TCO) models.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, or related field
  • Experience: 5–7 years of experience in B2B sales or account management, ideally within fleet leasing, upfit manufacturing, or commercial vehicle industry
    • Prior experience working directly with FMCs Understanding of fleet leasing business models, program pricing, and upfit coordination
  • Skills:
    • Strong relationship management and contract negotiation skills
    • Technical knowledge of truck body applications and chassis specifications
    • Ability to manage complex internal workflows and external timelines across multiple stakeholders
    • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools
  • Travel up to 30–40%
  • Performance Metrics:
    • Leasing program volume attainment vs. annual plan
    • Forecast accuracy (within 10% margin)
    • Account satisfaction/NPS
    • Timeliness of quoting and delivery coordination
    • Contract renewals and retention rate of assigned accounts
