Strategic Account Manager- Austin/Houston

Job Overview

The Strategic Account Manager is an outside sales position responsible for developing, managing, and closing business within accounts in our Strategic Accounts segment. The role involves driving the sales cycle from prospect to close, selling the complete HashiCorp software suite to key accounts, and ensuring adoption and consumption of our solutions.

HashiCorp’s Go to Market strategy is called ALEER: Adopt, Land, Expand, Extend, and Renew. The sales team focuses on Landing new logos, Expanding initial use cases, Extending into new solutions, and Renewing contracts.

Location Requirement

Candidates must be located in Austin or Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with new and existing strategic enterprise accounts to demonstrate how they can benefit from our technology.
  • Lead resources, including dedicated teams, virtual teams, partners, and executives, around sales opportunities.
  • Manage sophisticated enterprise sales campaigns with multiple engagement points across Development, IT Operations, and Security Operations.
  • Align HashiCorp solutions with customer business needs, challenges, and technical requirements.
  • Implement solution and value selling to both existing customers and prospects.
  • Promote the vision and positioning of the company and its products.
  • Build and maintain a healthy revenue pipeline and acquire new logos.
  • Forecast business accurately on a weekly basis.
  • Qualify opportunities using MEDDPICC methodology.
  • Coordinate with management, legal, and deal desk to ensure proper process execution.
Qualifications
  • Experience in Security, Open Source business models, Cloud, and Infrastructure software.
  • Proven track record in strategic sales and closing enterprise deals.
  • Strong operational discipline with experience in planning and forecasting.
  • Excellent executive presence and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in high-growth environments requiring critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Clari, Gong, Outreach, Slack, and Tableau.
Compensation

Base Pay Range: $150,000—$172,500 USD

OTE Pay Range: $300,000—$345,000 USD
