Vancer was formed to create custom maintenance-of-way (MOW) equipment for rail clients. Our employees are the cornerstone of our business and key to ensuring we develop and deliver successful solutions that meet the needs of our railroad customers.

Position Overview

Vancer is looking for a Strategic Account Manager for Vancer Railway Systems who cultivates, maintains and expands relationships with strategically important OEM Rail customers. The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives. The Strategic Account Manager represents the entire range of company Engine products and services to OEM customers, while leading the customer acquisition and account life cycle and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by Vancer Railway Systems.Heavy equipment experience is required, rail industry experience is only preferred. This person can be based anywhere West of the Mississippi River as long as it's close to an airport. This position will require travel nationally and internationally (Mexico & Canada) up to 75% of the time. A company vehicle will be provided.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

  • Develops and grows business relationships with prospective and established customers in the assigned accounts to generate business opportunities for the organization’s services and/or products.
  • Responsible for understanding and applying Vancer’s sales process and methodology.
  • Acquires a complete understanding of customer needs and ensures customer has a complete understanding of Engine Products and Services.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
  • Responsible for expanding our customer base by frequently contacting current and potential customers to sell engines and promote product support. To include but not limited to; networking, establishing partnerships, onsite customer visits, cold calling, following up on current engine enclosure with OEM and end user and leads.
  • Maintains continuous knowledge of products and identifies potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the product. Understands company products and effectively communicates all offerings to the customer.
  • Actively promote company’s services by establishing credibility and responsiveness in the assigned accounts.
