Job Details

Join our dynamic team as you work under the guidance of our Sales Directors to cultivate and strengthen strategic business relationships with a diverse range of customers. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving revenue growth and profitability, not only with our existing clients but also by exploring new opportunities. Your contributions will be vital to our collective success, making a meaningful impact on our organization and the customers we serve.

  1. Consults with customers to create profitable business strategies considering their vision, goals, current results, and compliance with Cencora programs and services.
  2. Organizes timely RFP processes for effective contract renewals.
  3. Creates customer interest using Cencora's solution selling process and establishes trust through clear communication of value propositions.
  4. Resolves customer issues, identifies root causes, and takes steps to prevent future issues.
  5. Partners with segment sales directors and account managers to develop regional chains managed by the Strategic Accounts Team.
  6. Develops and implements strategic sales and marketing plans aligned with national and regional goals.
  7. Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs and optimal pricing strategies.
  8. Analyzes market dynamics, customer changes, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and develops strategies to address these factors, communicating internally through discussions and business plans.
  9. Represents Cencora at trade association meetings.
  10. Delivers sales presentations to key customers.
  11. Provides feedback and recommendations on programs, policies, products, and pricing to corporate teams.
  12. Maintains strong customer relationships and seeks new business opportunities.
  13. Monitors and analyzes reports on profitability and growth, developing strategies to sustain success.
  14. Willingness to work extended hours and travel extensively to meet sales objectives.
  15. Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Requires a broad educational background in business, sales, marketing, or related fields, typically obtained through a bachelor's degree. Usually requires six (6) years of relevant, progressively responsible experience, preferably in healthcare.

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution and segment sales.
  • Thorough understanding of Cencora products, programs, and services.
  • Experience with sales management, planning, goal setting, and strategic selling techniques.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships and train others.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and develop strategies accordingly.
  • Understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and creative skills.
  • Good understanding of the Customer Value Chain.
  • Proficiency with computers and company systems.
