Job description

As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be responsible for securing, building, and developing partnerships with Clarivate’s most important global clients in key markets. Successful candidates will have an active network of key stakeholders within Clinical, Marketing, Access, and Commercial teams, and employ consultative sales skills to identify, qualify, and deliver innovative solutions to customer problems. Our goal is to elevate conversations within these customers to address key issues and meet their strategic objectives.

You will focus on expanding existing relationships, increasing engagement within the customer organization, and up-selling or cross-selling new solutions and services to core persona groups.

About You – Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years selling to large pharmaceutical customers
  • Experience selling complex, bespoke Data, Insights, and/or Consulting solutions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing multi-dimensional client relationships in a matrix environment
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and develop long-term relationships with senior leaders to strengthen partnerships
  • Manage and grow existing relationships
  • Upsell and cross-sell new services and solutions within existing networks
  • Lead regional or multi-country strategic opportunities aligned with account and regional goals
  • Conduct whitespace analysis and develop regional account strategies in collaboration with the Global Account Lead
  • Partner with Customer Experience, Solution Consulting, and Marketing teams to enhance the customer journey
  • Engage with all key stakeholders, including senior management, platform users, department heads, and brand teams
  • Generate proposals, plan customer meetings, and assemble the appropriate Clarivate team to meet customer needs
  • Maintain high levels of industry, customer, and product knowledge
About the Team

Our LS&H vertical serves over 2,000 clients and generates more than $0.5 billion in revenue. Clients subscribe to a variety of Clarivate solutions, including workflow tools, data analytics, and insights that support innovation, R&D, and commercialization in pharma and biotech. These solutions facilitate drug discovery, IP protection, and market entry.

Major customers account for approximately 35% of the Business Unit’s revenue, managing complex, multi-dimensional relationships.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time role, primarily during core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility for global time zone adjustments as needed.

Compensation – US Only

The base salary ranges from $145,000 to $185,000 USD annually, with an additional on-target commission of $97,000 to $145,000. Compensation is based on experience, education, skills, and relevant factors. Benefits include medical, dental, prescription drugs, life insurance, 401(k) with match, long-term disability, vacation, sick leave, volunteer time, discount programs, and more.
