Job description

As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be responsible for securing, building, and developing partnerships with Clarivate's most important global clients in key markets. Successful candidates will have an active network of key stakeholders within Clinical, Marketing, Access, and Commercial teams, employing consultative sales skills to identify, qualify, and deliver innovative solutions to customer problems. Our goal is to elevate client conversations to address key issues and meet strategic objectives.

You will focus on expanding existing relationships, increasing engagement within the customer organization, and up-selling or cross-selling new solutions and services to core persona groups.

About You - Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, including at least 5 years selling into large pharmaceutical clients
  • Experience selling complex, bespoke data, insights, and consulting solutions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing multi-dimensional client relationships in a matrix environment
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and develop long-term relationships with senior leaders to strengthen partnerships
  • Manage and grow existing client relationships
  • Upsell and cross-sell new services and solutions
  • Lead regional or multi-country strategic opportunities aligned with account plans and financial goals
  • Conduct whitespace analysis and develop regional account strategies in collaboration with the Global Account Lead
  • Partner with Customer Experience, Solution Consulting, and Marketing teams to enhance the customer journey
  • Engage with key decision-makers and stakeholders across client organizations
  • Prepare proposals, organize customer meetings, and coordinate teams to meet client needs
  • Maintain high levels of industry, product, and customer knowledge
About the Team

Our LS&H vertical serves over 2,000 clients and generates more than $0.5 billion in revenue. Clients subscribe to a range of Clarivate solutions, including workflow tools, data analytics, and insights that support innovation, R&D, and commercialization in pharma and biotech sectors. These solutions facilitate drug discovery, IP protection, and bringing new medicines and devices to market.

Major clients account for approximately 35% of our business unit’s revenue and involve complex, multi-dimensional relationships.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time role, primarily during core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility for global time zones as needed.

Compensation (US Only)

The base salary ranges from $145,000 to $185,000 annually, plus an annual on-target commission of $97,000 to $145,000. Compensation is based on experience, education, skills, and relevant factors.
