Blue Cross of Idaho is seeking a Strategic Account Executive (SAE) who will define, develop, and execute client‑centric strategies for large, complex key, and/or national accounts. This role builds trusted relationships with key business partners, including C‑Suite executives, to translate strategy into measurable business outcomes while driving client retention, growth, and long‑term partnership success. In addition, this role provides strategic leadership and direction across cross‑functional teams, ensuring accountability for key performance indicators and successful execution of client strategies.
To Be Considered For This Opportunity, You Have
Minimum of seven years of experience managing complex key and/or national accounts involving enterprise level products or services within the healthcare industry. Experience with self‑funded health plans is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of leadership, underwriting knowledge, and strategic/consultative selling and account management capabilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience (Two years’ relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college).
State of Idaho Resident License or must obtain within 120 days of hire
This position is based in Meridian Idaho, and requires a local presence; it offers hybrid work location (both onsite campus and work‑from‑home, as well as client site/in‑field).
Ability to travel and attend client meetings, industry events, and other business functions, including occasional commitments outside standard business hours
As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range is $131,541 to $197,311. The position is eligible for an annual sales incentive bonus (variable depending on company and employee performance).
The pay range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, internal equity, geography, business or organizational needs, and alignment with market data. At Blue Cross of Idaho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for the position. Compensation decisions are dependent on factors and circumstances at the time of offer.
