Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo seeks an Executive Associate Dean to serve as a senior academic leader and strategic advisor to the dean, guiding CAFES' programs, people, operations, partnerships and priorities. The role informs executive decision-making with academic context and acts as a trusted partner to the dean across college leadership.

Working with associate deans, department heads and other leaders, you translate priorities into coordinated action and oversee broader college operations,

Formación

• PhD or terminal degree required for tenure-eligible appointment.
• Minimum of five years of relevant higher education administrative leadership experience.
• Demonstrated leadership across disciplines and strong governance understanding.
• Proven ability to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and outcomes.
• Excellent communication, diplomacy and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic counsel to the dean and serve as a trusted advisor on college priorities.
• Lead executive oversight of academic operations, facilities and land-use planning.
• Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives with department heads, centers, and college leaders.
• Represent the dean in internal and external engagements and maintain alignment with university policy.
