Job summary

Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences is seeking an experienced contract administrator to guide the HAW-UAW collective bargaining agreement, support grievance handling, disciplinary matters, and negotiations on behalf of FAS.

This hybrid role, based on campus in Cambridge, MA, requires strong knowledge of labor contracts, compliance with NLRA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and a proven ability to advise managers and participate in university committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 8 years’ relevant work experience.
• Experience in higher education preferred.
• Familiarity with NLRA, FLSA, FMLA, and ADA preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary FAS point of contact for interpretation of the HAW-UAW contract.
• Assist FAS managers in the grievance process in coordination with LOER and GC.
• Facilitate contract-related disciplinary investigations.
• Represent FAS in university-wide committees and future negotiations.
• Provide guidance for contingency planning related to potential labor disruptions.
• Coordinate information requests with the Office of Labor and Employee Relations.
