Job summary

WireCo WorldGroup is seeking a Stranding Operator for the second shift to set up, load, and operate the stranding machine, ensuring strand quality and safety for the team. You will adjust dies, heads, and tension, while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Qualifications include math skills, mechanical aptitude, and ability to read micrometers and gauges. The role requires standing on concrete for long shifts and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Math skills and mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to read micrometers, tape measures, feeler gauges, and use basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Record set-up information at the start of each order.
• Load in full bobbins and thread the machine as required.
• Weld or knot new wire with old wire when applicable.
• Set dies, stranding head, post‑former and rings per order.
• Adjust lay, tension, and die pressure as orders progress.
• Inspect and replace tensioning devices; maintain a safe, clean environment.
