Job summary

The Archmil organization seeks a Director of Communications for Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi in Saint Francis, WI. This role leads storytelling, media relations, publications, and digital communications to connect people with the Sisters’ mission and values.

You’ll oversee Troubadour magazine, monthly newsletters, and external messaging, while maintaining the website and social channels, partnering with leadership and the advancement team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, or communications required.
• Experience with media outlets to place editorial content.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
• Proven ability to lead editorial staff and multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Writes and oversees the monthly congregation email newsletter.
• Produces the monthly employee email newsletter with HR.
• Manages Troubadour magazine editorial staff and schedule.
• Sends the weekly Hotline email to Sisters and leaders.
• Photographs events and maintains digital photo files.
• Supports Advancement with creative input and editing.
• Directs external messaging for the congregation.
• Develops and maintains media relations.
• Maintains the congregation website and social platforms.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
