Job summary

The Paulist Fathers Office of Marketing and Communications seeks a full-time Associate Communications Director to partner with the Director in carrying out the office’s storytelling and outreach initiatives.

You will oversee daily social media, weekly emails, podcast coordination, video and website content, event support, and media relations, with some travel and a willingness to participate in Catholic liturgies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Associated Press Style.
• Appreciation for the Catholic faith and willingness to attend liturgies.
• Understanding of the Paulist mission and evangelization approach.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with priests and staff.
• Experience with MailChimp, Canva and project management tools.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends.
• Able to travel about four times per year.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily social media management across multiple channels.
• Coordinate weekly email newsletters and podcasts.
• Oversee video production coordination and website content with vendors.
• Support on-site events and photo/video logistics.
• Assist with advancement communications and press outreach.
• Draft materials for promotions and media relations.
• Crisis communications planning and execution as needed.
• Travel for conferences/meetings a few times yearly.
